ITINERARY

ITINERARY

Day 1:

Arrive in Nairobi’s Jommo Kenyatta International Airport. You’ll be met by our driver who will transfer you to Boma Hotel for an overnight stay on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2:

After an early breakfast at 0730 hours depart for Samburu, the Northern frontier with stopovers to stretch or have a cup of tea. You will drive between the Aberdares on the left and Mount Kenya on the right, wheat, flowers and vegetables plantations as well as the pineapples farm Delmonte. The breath taking landscape will make you enjoy the trip. Arrive at Ashnil Samburu lodge on time for lunch. Relax at the swimming pool with a swim that would make you enjoy the sun. Embark on your first safari in this reserve which is known for it’s unique wildlife varieties like the reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, the gravy zebra, leopards and so many other animals. Don’t forget the Uaso Nyiro river which is at the front of the lodge with it’s big crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:

Have an early breakfast and leave the lodge for an half day game drive in the park with a possibility of crossing the river to the other side o the park if need be in search of the predators which are in plenty as well as the giant elephants, lions and buffalos. Return to the lodge for your lunch and relax selecting your best photo shots. Before departure at 1600 hours, have your cup of tea or coffee. You can not be bored while on a game drive here in Samburu because of the beautiful nature. Birdlife is in plenty so as wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:

Have your of breakfast and after, game drive en route before getting out for Sweetwaters Serena Lodge on the foot hill of Mt Kenya arriving on time for lunch. Relax at the swimming pool or on your tent balcony before your afternoon game drive that would take you to the Chimpanzee sanctuary. This sanctuary the only one in East and Central Africa is a safe Haven to these beautiful primates which were rescued from poachers and others orphaned at a tender age. Drive on leisurely in the park which well known for the presence of the Northern Rhino Species, The White Rhino and their cousin the black rhino. Also to be found here are the dangerous African hunting dogs, Leopards and lions as well as antelopes. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.

Day 5:

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll have a stopover at the Thomson Falls for refreshments and take photos at the falls. Due to high altitude of the area around the Thomson Falls, It’s possible to see some of our world known marathoners practicing.
Embark on your journey arriving at the lodge on time for lunch. Relax and after, try your luck for both black rhino and white rhino. We have the big five animals in this park except Elephant. Also to be found here are flamingos which the park is well known for. Though many of them flew to the neighbouring Lake Bogoria due to increase in water volume of the L.Nakuru. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:

An early breakfast and leave for a day trip to Lake Bogoria for the spectacular view of the pink or lesser and greater Flamingos as well as the hot geysers and later on have your lunch at the lake Bogoria Resort. After lunch leave for Flamingo Camp in L Nakuru National Park for your dinner and overnight.

Day 7:

This is the day you are headed to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We arrive at the Kilima Camp on time for lunch. Relax while amazed by the beautiful view of the Mara. At 1600 hours the urge increases to go for your game  drive shoots up and you leave to make the discoveries in the reserve. The park is rich in all the big five , the plains animals, and the wild beasts and zebras. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:

This is a great day in that you’ll have a full day game drive in the park driving slowly and discovering more and more of the nature. Remember if you make your booking and come before the migration ends, then you’ll have a life time experience if you happen to see them crossing the river Mara. Nature here is at it’s best. As the ‘migrants’ come to  Maasai Mara in search of grass and water, the predators also come in plenty in search of ready food namely the wild beasts, zebras, Topi antelopes, Thomson’s Gazelles, birds of prey like the different Vultures, Marabus are also a spectacular more so when landing or taking off. Maasai Mara is the place to be. Have your lunch under one of the picnic sites having carried with you your lunch packets. Depending on the activities on the river as far as the wild beasts and zebras are concerned you are at liberty to drive slowly back to the lodge to sample your great shots of the Mara.

Day 9:

After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving at the Pampas Brazilian Restaurant for your lunch before catching your flight to Mombasa for your beach Holiday and relaxation. At the airport in Mombasa our transfer driver will be waiting for you with a paging board with one of your names written. From Airport to the hotel, Voyager beach resort is approximately 30 minute drive.

Day 10-13:

You spend the days at leisure (Meal plan is half board)

Day 14:

You’ll be transferred to the Airport (MIA Mombasa) for your connecting flight  in Nairobi back home.
